Plastic Parts overall business philosophy includes conservative financial management along with sharing the fruits of our labors with the full complement of employees. We have enjoyed a company profit-sharing plan for over 20 years. When asked what he does for a living, Art Jorgenson states, "I provide employment for people who want to make things. My company gives great American-made quality with an excellent value, and you can have it on a truck in days, not weeks. We have to get back to manufacturing things in America... we can't all serve each other hamburgers."

Plastic Parts, Inc. History

Plastic Parts, Inc. was founded in 1966 by Arthur Jorgenson and his father-in-law Russell Frank.

Art Jorgenson built on his education as a chemical engineer and as a manufacturers agent for powdered metal industrial components, while Russ Frank used his experience in banking, finance and purchasing management to help establish a sound business model for Plastic Parts, Inc. Family friend, Roland Berger, with a background in economic development and small business administration helped jump start the business as a silent partner. Mr. Berger became a Professor of Economic Development in the University of California system and continued his association with the business as a silent partner and consultant through 1982.

Plastic Parts, Inc. started with one molding press in a small rented facility on Miller Lane in Racine, Wisconsin.

Molding Manager Mike Mohrbacher, formerly of StaRite Manufacturing, was hired to run the manufacturing operations of the business, while Jorgenson and Frank handled sales and financial matters.

Our first job was molding clear playing card boxes for Western Printing of Racine, Wisconsin. Work expanded rapidly with additional presses added at the Miller Lane facility.

Need for modern space with additional square footage led to a move to Union Grove, Wisconsin, in 1972. Plastic Parts, Inc. ("PPI") was the first occupant of the new industrial park in Union Grove - our current location.

Additional expansions in 1974, 1976 and 1979 led to a manufacturing capacity of 34,000 square feet with 12,000 square feet of warehouse. Our 2007 expansion doubled warehouse square footage and tripled warehouse capacity, and also added shipping docks for a total of four spaces with dock levelers, etc. PPI owns adjacent land for further significant development.

Current managers of Plastic Parts, Inc. include Art Jorgenson's son, General Manager Jeffrey Jorgenson. Jeff holds a degree in business and a hot hand on a CAD machine. He specializes in robotics and automation.

Art's daughter, Technical Support Manager Sharon Jorgenson, holds a business degree, with a minor in engineering and an associate's degree in computer technology. Sharon maintains the organization's custom and proprietary management database functions.

Son-in-law Chris Osiecki, with an MBA from University of Minnesota, handles facilities and manages benefits and insurance matters. PPI's most recent addition, Art's daughter Jill Osiecki, holds a Masters of Management Degree from the Kellogg Graduate School at Northwestern University and manages the financial functions of the business.
